Travis Beane
Director of Bands
Travis Beane was born in Cleveland, OH and raised in Detroit Michigan. Mr. Beane attended Martin Luther King Jr., Senior High School where he participated in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Band. Upon graduation, he was awarded a full scholarship to University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Throughout his matriculation at UAPB, he participated in Marching Band (M4), the Wind Symphony, and the UAPB Jazz Ensemble. Mr. Beane is a Fall 2006 initiate of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and a Spring 2008 initiate of Phi Beta Sigma International Fraternity Inc. In May of 2010, Mr. Beane received his B.S. in Music with an emphasis in Sound Recording Technology.
Mr. Beane’s teaching career began in 2014 when he was hired as the Music Production Teacher at River Rouge High School in River Rouge, Michigan. During this time, Mr. Beane served as the advisor of the RRAMP music production club, assistant band director, and sound engineer for district events. On September 4, 2015 Travis married Demetria “Ghoo” Beane. They, currently, are the parents of 3 beautiful children: Loreal, Travis Jr., and Alex. In 2020, Mr. Beane received his Masters in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.
In 2021, Mr. Beane relocated to Trotwood, OH as he became our Director of Bands. Since his arrival, we have won 1st place in several marching band competitions, traveled across the country, and have restored the rich band traditions of TMHS for years to come!
